Acting
On television, Robert appears in the recurring role of CIA operative Kevin Carragher on the CBS hit FBI: Most Wanted. Other television roles include Mindhunter, Law & Order, Law & Order: SVU, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Gossip Girl, Blue Bloods, Murphy Brown, Unforgettable, White Collar, Cold Case, Las Vegas, CSI: Miami, JAG, Providence, and Charmed.
In the theater, Robert recently played Tom in Suzanne Bradbeer’s new play, THE GOD GAME, at Hudson Stage. Other theater credits include DIVA at the Pasadena Playhouse with Annie Potts directed by David Lee (“Cheers”, “Wings”, creator of “Frazier”); Mercutio in ROMEO AND JULIET in East Hampton, NY; A PIECE OF PROPERTY at the Player’s Theater in New York City; ITALIAN AMERICAN RECONCILIATION at the Zephyr Theater (LA); the long running comedy improv serial CRIME SCENE at Sacred Fools (LA); LA RONDE at the Atlantic Theater Company (NYC); SECRET OF LIFE at Wolfskill (LA); and the runaway cultural phenomenon MAYHEM AT MAYFIELD MALL – a drive-in (that’s right) comedy that took place in downtown LA for which he was interviewed on CNN, NPR, NBC, and a number of international news shows.
Robert is a founding member of one of LA’s top avant garde theater companies, Zoo District (winner of 15 Ovation and Garland awards). He has appeared in or produced numerous Zoo District productions.
Producing
Robert produced official 2018 Sundance film festival selection, AN EVENING WITH BEVERLY LUFF LINN starting Aubrey Plaza, Jemaine Clement, Emile Hirsch, and Craig Robinson. After premiering at Sundance, the film was subsequently sold to Universal.
In addition to producing numerous stage plays, Robert also produced the Telly Award winning documentary THE STORY OF DARREL ROYAL, hosted by Matthew McConaughey.
Robert is a graduate of the University of Virginia and also holds a masters degree in psychology from Columbia University.
Proud to be a Big Brother (Big Brothers of Greater Los Angeles) and is also involved with The Art of Elysium (which brings the theater arts to seriously ill children) and Bpeace (which helps women entrepreneurs in post-conflict countries).
